Do you use Pocket programmer from windows??

Do you use Pocket programmer from windows??
I just got all my stuff and was wondering if you guys are runnig the programmer from windows or dos. Does it make any difference?
By the way I'm using regular 27c128 proms with the 6e type whatever.
Also would my 89 iroc L98 (6E) run with a prom with the $32 definition??? I ask because I pulled the supposedly jet stage II chip out of the car read it with the programmer then tried to open it in tunercat and it said that it was the $32 not the 6E. I find this odd because I bought it off a guy who told me he had an 89 and also I would of thought that would throw a code but it's been in there for almost a year without a code.

Oh yeah I forgot, Do you think I should just put the ARAP bin in first then see how it runs, with the scanner. It sounds like it's the best starting point.

1) DOS or Windows. I've used both and it really makes no difference.
2) I'm sure you can make the '89 run with a 32B definition file but it would definitely take some tweaking for startup. However, there is NOT any good reason to do this.
3) Start with the $6E ARAP. Its your best bet.
