Converting O2 voltage to A/F Ratio?

I know that 450 mV is 14.7:1 and that the values change extremely fast on either side, but can you convert mV readings to A/F ratios?

The short answer is no. the stock O2 sensore works great @ 14.7 but is VERY non linear @ the top & @ the bottom. there are some companies out there that will tell you that you can guess @ the AFR from the O2 reading but they are just educated guesses & they are +/- a LOT.

there is a long answer, a search of the archives will probably get you to it.

What you want is a wide band O2 sensor. The oem gm's are a switching type.
So far they run at least 800, and usually closer to a Grand, but hopefully that will be changing soon!.
