I bought a 89 Iroc, 305 TPI (auto trans) with some hop ups for parts or sell. I was told it has a SLP chip in it. Can I install that chip in my 88 Iroc, 305 TPI (auto trans). Will this work, I kno there was some changes with the TPI setup between the two years. I tried checking SLP site, but couldn't find anything. Anyone know any details about the two years, or have a catalog that might list the two years chips & p/n's.

If the 89 has vats and the 88 does not it will not work unless you disable it.

If the 89 does not have vats then the only thing you should need to do is disable or disconnect the cold start injector. (It is not used with the 1989 6e code)
