what cars came with the 27c128? I plan on going to the junk yard. I know what comp. will work but what ones have the right chip?

Read traxions article at the top of the page. At the bottom there is a table that says.
I know that the 89, 88, 87 and maybe 86 tpi cars had a 27c128. 90 or newer have 256's

88, if I understand your question correctly, you appear to be looking for the memcal as opposed to the physical eprom.

If this is indeed the case, you will need the memcal for an 88 TPI (if you have retained the cold start injector) or from an 89 TPI if you have dumped the cold start injector. This is for the "limp mode"...never know when you may get a sensor problem and need "limp mode" to get you home.

well I just need the chip itself but, I wasn't sure if some other cars had the same chip because if they do than I could snage them out of the junk ecm pile. take them home erase them reprogram them and put them on my original memcal.


I wan't to do this to see if my chips went bad or if it really is the pocket programmer.
