I have a 92 Camaro Z28.I have the Pocket Programmer, eraser, scan tool, and spare EPROMs, but I don't know which editor I need. When I went on the Tuner Cat web site they have the TDF editor for 39.95 and they also have the Tuner for 69.95. Which one do I need? I also wanted to know if either on of them come with a definition file. Thanks

You want the Tuner program for $70. This is the program that you use in conjuction with a definition file (extra $20 from TC) to edit you .bin file. The TDF editor is a program with which you can edit or make new definition files.

The fact that TunerCat called their ECM File Definition program an 'Editor' has caused some confusion. You can edit a BIN. But, you can also change the definition file that is used to edit the BIN. Historically, the program that modifies the BIN has been called an Editor. There never has been a program available to the Public that can be used for modifying the definition file used to modify the BIN until TunerCat released his. He has called this an Editor. With the advent of his terminology you now must remember that there are 2 types of editors....

1) An Editor used for modifying the BIN
2) An Editor used to modify the Definition file.

You NEED #1. You don't NEED #2.
