Best Chip for 88' 350
I was thinking of puting a chip on my car soon. I have Random Technology exhaust, and i want to know what is the best chip. I was leaning twards the hypertech Stage 2, and puting in a 160 degree thermostat, and fan switch ANY SUGGESTIONS

Thou down, for the moment try reading the archives at DIY_EFI.
The only reason to run a 160dF is from using the flathead ford era hotrod technology.

Grumpy is absolutely correct on all counts. BURN YOUR OWN.
The BEST news for MAF owners is the BEST BIN for a basically stock MAF car is completely available for FREE. It is the ARAP BIN.
I just recently installed this in a buddy's car and I was amazed how close it was to 128/128 perfect. There are a few little things that need to be "cleaned up", such as setting the Fan Switch to Normal Operation and if you don't have a functioning EGR you may wish to back off some of the spark advance.
Also, Highway Mode is set to work on the ARAP BIN (something no "off-the-shelf" eprom does to my knowledge). The Highway Mode can be further tweaked IMO to personal preferences. But I highly recommend the ARAP BIN as your base BIN and tweak it yourself.
The cost of equipment works out to be darn close to the cost of an eprom. So you end up much further ahead.
Last, but not least, you can also use a Flash Prom now on a MAF F-body. This will give you virtually unlimited "reprogramming" ability WITHOUT even needing an UV eraser.

Search for recent posts on "29C256" and you will find a discussion on it working on MAF cars. There is also links to a couple of places you can get it from.
