The only time I have seen a flashing SES light is when I am hooking up a scan tool to the ALDL. Once the scan tool is running, the SES light goes out.

Do you have ANYTHING connected to you ALDL?

Also, it may be the eprom itself is not configured properly. Typically, when you get an SES code, the light remains on. Could be a bad eprom. Try re-installing the stock GM Memcal and see if it returns to normal.

Based on the information you are giving, I really don't anything much more to suggest.

yea well i put in the old stock chip, and the light did go out. I just keeps flashing really fast no matter what. When i put the stock chip back in, it goes back to normal. Anything else you could possibly tell me, Should i maybe try hooking it up to a diagnostic tool? Thanks

Personally, even when those "off-the-shelf" do work..they do very little. A few degrees of spark and dash more fuel (often they need less fuel) ... not much more, sorry to say. If you want to learn eprom burning (which is what this board is really about), read Traxion's "Prom Burning Introduction" (the link is on the top of every page within the DIY PROM Board). Then if you wish to give it a try, return your Hypertech chip and use that money to get the equipment. You'll be much further ahead.
