Installed chip but no differenc
Well I installed a 160 thermostat and a JET stage 2 chip for my 91 Z 350 ci. I installed the 160 thermo 2 months before the chip came. Made my car run a lot cooler. Now after installing the chip, it seems as if the chip makes my engine temperature run up faster than when I had just the 160 thermo. Why is that?
Also, I dont fee a difference in power. My gas mileage is still the same, about 180 miles to a full tank. So what do you guys think?
Any input would be helpful, thanks in advance.

SS 17x9.5 wheels,
HOTCHKIS 1"drop springs,
HOTCHKIS tower brace,
Bilstein struts and shocks,
K&N filters,
MSD 6A,
MSD 8.5mm Wires,
MSD Cap & Rotor,
Hypertech airfoil,
SLP intake runner (plennum not ported yet, soon)
High flow cats,
SPOHN panhard bar, lower control arms, and subframe connectors,
Baer front track system,
3" Flowmaster Exhaust System,
2100 Stall High Performance Torque Converter,
300 watt sound system,
and soon to come...ZZ4 crate motor...hopefully.

It just goes to show that aftermarket chips don't do squat! They're simply a waste of money! (unless you buy em real cheap to get an extra adapter for easier chip swapping.. lol). I'd say return it.. if you still can.. and buy the equipment to burn your own. I have 92 Z28 and I also have a Stage 2 Jet chip. With MY chip.. my car is almost a full second faster. With the JET chip it's no faster then the stock chip.

The only way to get the right chip for your car is doing it yourself.
Why do you think Holleys have replaceable jets?.
No two cars are exactly the same, same idea applies to chips, there are no universal answers
The 160dF Thermostat is from Magazines, and the days of the flat head fords, and 60 Octane gas. With the millions that the NASCAR teams spend in R+D they are just all wrong for runnning 190-210 engine temps., not bloody likey
Old fairy tales die hard.
Bottom line, get a 180-190 Thermostat, try and get you money back, and read up on doing your own chips.
