ADS Chip died on me......wtf??

I know ADS chips suck anyway, but mine died on me...why would this happen?? The car kept stalling out at idle, even when I was doing like 55 and let off the gas it would die. It was in the car for 2 years and suddenly went. Just wondering what would cause this?? Also does anyone know if ADS is still in business so maybe I can get my money back and use it to either get a custom chip burnt for my new motor or buy some of the stuff to do it myself??

I guess so, they were in jegs last time i looked. And if you do get the extra money, burn the chips yourself. That way lets say you take your stroker motor and...add oh i dunno, another set of heads and a cam you think would make more power. That custom chip you bought from joe programmer isn't for the new heads and cam, it's for the old heads and cam. So just save yourself the trouble and DIY. After you get the hardware it really doesn't cost anywhere near 200 bucks for a chip. Plus you can change whatever you want and then go burn a new chip with the advantage of hiway mode, you could possibly squeeze out a little but better gas mileage(sp?). Well, i'll quit rambling as it's too early in the morning for me.

What's highway mode?? I've been doing some research into chip burning and I still feel like it's a little over my head. But I'll keep studying up while I'm building the car.
