8746 ecm direct data "watch"

Diacom is slow and it's getting on my nerves. I remember somebody talking about tapping into the ecm directly for real time updates. Is this possible, anybody have any info/links that could help me out?

Just as an example, Directscan works for the GN's. http://www.chuengineering.com/

A DIY version for the 7747 is availible at ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/incoming/Lockers0.zip
ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/incoming/Lockers1.zip

I looked at the Lockers, its about $60-70 in parts and requires atleast a moderate knowledge of electronics IMHO.

The 160 baud is slow but its not unusable. I have no problem using it to work with the 7747. What trouble are you having?

Yep i remember Bruce saying that Directscan was the cream of the crop in that aspect. Or you could just switch to TPI
