RamJet Install...need to learn PROM stuff

ok. I am printing out Traxions into to prom burning but I have other questions. Glenn91L98GTA told me when I install the RamJet I could keep the MAF setup(see TPI message board under "RamJet Setup..." He told me that I needed to disable the 9th injector and use a 89 ARAP BIN. Were can I obtain one of these and how much. umm....I am JUST starting to learn this stuff b/c I expect the TPI to RamJet Swap in a year and does anyone have any idea of what will be involved in programing this ARAP BIN? I will probably be here asking lots and lots of questions so bare with me. Thanks.

ok, after reading Traxions artical PROM buring is basically a Spanish to English back to Spanish tranlation thing. Meaning that the Binary code(Spanish) is translated by the Programmer to "English" and then using the Editor to Edit it ina form we understand like, lb/hr, degrees C etc, then translated back to Spanish(BIN) with the Programmer and placed on the EPROM. SOOO....that mean that when I go to program it and lets say I have 24lb injectors that after translating it all I have to do is type in 24 ft/lbs?! or maybe a tempature. And you basically play with it untill you get it right.

How simple is it to burn an ARAP code onto a prom that didn't originally have it: obtain an ARAP.bin and burn it on to an empty prom. How easy is it to burn a prom that will work GREAT for your combination: spend lots of time tuning, just like any tutorial will tell you. Just telling the ECM that you have 24 lb/hr injectors doesn't do much. You have a long road ahead of you so keep on reading. That's why this is DIY, so you can learn the hows and whys. It can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be.

I like that Spanish to English thing. That's exactly how it is. The difficulty is all relative to time, starting point, and hardware/software. If you spend lots of time with it you will have great success. If you don't spend too much time (like me right now) you can get it to run 90% better than before. Spend more time and you'll get to 98% never 100!!
