Looking for someone in the Hampton Roads, VA area to answer some TPI and ECM ????'s.
I have a bunch of questions about the TPI swap that I am doing.
For example,
Does the TPI computer need any info that goes to the instrument cluster to function?
What sensors and relays have to be connected to the TPI computer?
This is basically what I want, I want the guages to operate the way they do now, computer has no control over any of my gauges. I want the TPI computer to run the motor only.
My car is an 86 Trans Am that used to have the LG4 ccc motor. It now has an 87 305 TPI on it with 87 305 heads.
My gauges all worked when I went to my edelbrock setup and disconnected my old LG4 computer.
I'd like to talk to someone about my swap rather than trying to email back and forth.
if anyone out there can help, I don't mind making long distance calls to get the help that I need.
email me with your phone number and a good time to call.
I am going insane just looking at my car sitting in the garage and not being able to drive it.
Thanks

Not a question on PROM burning. Transferring to the general engine forum.
