Obtaining a chip holder

Instead of trying to modify my current holder, I know I have seen pix of the Jet unit. Where can I get a holder so I can plug in my created chips??

I just purchased my Pocket Programmer & 5 29C256 chips. Now all I need is the socket for my car.

thanks

John

If you mean the green board that allows you to piggy back eproms, there is no universal answer. Jet Hyper and other just use what available, at the time. No way to tell what your getting without opening the box.
If I understand your question

OK, where is the web site where I was looking at how to modify the stock holder to accept the chips.

I thought it was on TRAXIONS, but couldn't find it.

Do you mean the ZIF socket? The one you solder in place of the prom and then you can easily remove and install the prom. If so, the link to where you can get them is in the article. Probably the same place where you bought the proms will have them.

Actually I went to Radio Shack and bought a few 28 Pin Low Profile Sockets that work perfectly. I paid only 99¢ each. AND I got an older style socket for FREE, because they no longer carry the product and there was no price in their computer... go fig.

I just bought 5 of the 29C256 chips and the Pocket programmer yesterday, I just need to let my Pay Pal account get a few bux more so I can get the Tuner Cat, and I am ready to go... YAHOOO!!!
