Looking for update on ARAP BIN. Does it turn on your electric fans ALL the time?

I saw some posts a while back about a new tunercat $6E that offered a switch to allow us $32 guys to run the $6E without the eletric fans always going on. Something about the A/C input.

I recall my brother running a newer prom in his 86 and the fans would run all the time.

Just curious for an update. I am going to be buying Tunercat right away.

Mark.

If you just get an untouched ARAP chip, then yes you're right, the fans would be ****ed up.

But use Winbin or Tunercat and change the flag for fan operation to normally open and it should work like it was intended to in your car....

If you just want to have something to start working on, here's the basic ARAP code with the fan control set to normal, versions both for vats and non-vats, 305 and 350....

Please note that this is not a finished performance chip, merely a starting platform to solve the basic problems you might encounter like different injector sizes between 305 / 350, the fan inversion flag...

I leave the rest of the work yo you, just trying to help out with some of the problems I myself encountered when I started out experimenting! If you download anything else than those four files, better ask what it is before you try to use it!
