no spark

I have changed msd 6al,coil,pickup coil, module, distributer, and still no spark at the coil or any where. I have performed all of the test in the chiltons manual and still nothing. everything cks good. I know that the computer controls adv and retard, but does it control inital spark. It is about the only thing that I have not changed.
any help will be appreciated. Thanks nate

Re-confirm the ignition module is good.

I just got back from auto zone the module is good. Reshoot all of the wires and redid the trouble shooting tree in chilton's, still nothing. I'm in the process of changing the pick-up coil again. Does the computer have anything to do will timing on inital start-up. I cant find anywhere in the manual that says it does. Hopefully figure it out soon.

Can the computer not make it spark. I was looking though one of my books last night and it looks like to me that the computer does not come in to play until the engine comes to idle. I could be wrong though. One book I was reading said that there is 3 ways you can set timing. 1 brown connector 2 a/b on aldl 3 disconnect the 4 wire connector at the distributer. So i dont see how the computer does anything until idle. Well with all of that can the computer cause it not to spark. The reason im asking this is because a couple of people told it could be the computer. Any input will be appreciated

I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but what makes you think you don't have spark. Have you actually taken an extra spark plug and connected it to one of the plug wires, cranked it over while watching? I had a similar problem a couple of days ago where my car would crank over repeatedly, but would not fire at all. Turns out I had to increase the cranking fuel in one of the DFI tables.

Just a thought.

Use a dwell meter and see if you have any.
While you might not have spark, that is the secondary side. Need to isolate if it's the primary or secondary that is the problem.

Checked your ignition fuse? Verified power to the coil? To the distributor?
