Going to be disconnecting the EGR in my new engine buildup and was wondering if it will throw a code? This is on a '92 TPI Speed-density.
I think the EGR is just pulsed with no feedback.

I'm not running the same ECM, but my experience is that you will get a code. I disabled the EGR valve and the engine knocked during part throttle driving.
During EGR operation the ECM adds timing (6° in my case)and cuts fuel. This results in detonation when the EGR valve is disabled.
Proper elimination of EGR requires disabling the EGR routine in the PROM.
