Why doesnt someone make a website??

and just post the exact numbers of differents proms like the TPIS proms.... there like $600.... Someone could just post the exact numbers for the prom and then people could save hundreds of dollars.... you could also do this for stuff like hypertech chips etc.... does anyone know of a website like that???? This is the first time ive posted on this prom section so i may be talking out my @$$. Any replys are helpful.

There is no reason to.
You can do your own proms, and be money ahead by learning how to do them yourself.
Like carbs., you have to calibrate a prom to your own particular combination. A thousand dollar Holley will still need to be jetted to get it right for your combination.

In general it takes alot less work to start with a stock chip then rework a "tuners" chip. AND, if they made an error, and went off on a tangent, you'll just be compounding that error.

Comparing chips, just leaves folks at bad mouthing the guys trying to make a living at it. Long run that doesn't do anyone any good, it just wastes time.

There is more to chips then WOT, and I have yet to see other then 2 people really work on drivibility, in the aftermarket area. Any even they do, they have their won driving style, which may very alot from what you like.

Then there is the issue of it's stealing.
How would you like to loose your job, because someone on the net was just giving your work away?.

Bruce said it but I'll drive the point home ...

Hypertech, ADS, TPIS, Jet, etc are all junk in comparison to your own DIY PROM. There's no point in looking at these chips or else you will get the wrong idea of what to program. The only reason that you would want to run one of these BINs is solely for 'bragging rights' (which many prom programmers laugh at because they know they are junk). Do it right - Do it from scratch with either an ARAP ($6E) or AUJP ($8D).

What you're saying is the exact same thing as posting programs and games on the internet for people to download. Its piracy and illegal. I'm surprised this wasnt locked.

I'm surprised a moderator has to go out of his way to rip another about locking a thread publicly.

This topic comes up every now and then and its important for the newbies to understand the reasons why this should not be done. That's why it was left open. But, now since the post is off topic I'll lock it. Thanks for point out the legality park Kev. That is a very good point. Hmmmm. I think its time to go check the exhaust forum and look for posts that should be locked .... doh
