Is a 1982 Z28 prom for the pace car worth anything?I'm not trying to sell it.But if it's not worth saving then would'nt that prom work for my 85 ecm as a blank?

Its only worth what the chip itself is worth. However, some of the older chips are not erasable, therefore, you might not be able to change it. If it has the "window" then you can use it. If not, then its stuck as an '82 "pace car" chip as you call it.
