I was just wondering if you saw the link I posted regarding the two transistor interface. On the one I am using, I am not having to add the two diodes he is talking about.
I am going to put a db9 or similar connector under the passenger side dash for quick connection to the pc.
The data logging function is extremely useful, except at high RPM, I sometimes lose some data. I have ascertained that even with the minor mods I have, the 19# ijectors do not work well with the 350 chip in my goodwrench 350 engine.
The only comment I have is that I still revert to good old E6 when I want to customize displays for specific areas of interest. But the work you have done is excellent.

Again, thanks for all of the great work.

Cheers

Richard.

If you're losing some data, check your cable routing. Try shortening up the lengths from the ALDL to the interface. Might even splice into the harness closer to the ECM. I found that you get quite a bit of RFI as the wires pass under the dash area. A way to test this is to see if you get more dataloss with the A/C fan blower motor up on high. I found it to be a factor with my southern-engineered jimmy-rig.

Worth a try at least...

BTW, I've found that the SVO injectors are nice, plenty of room to work with them with the right PROM tuning. Running them at 48# on my 305 without a problem. They're cheap too, think $220 for the set new?

Oh yeah, for a quick-disconnect, I hooked up the interface right to a block that plugs into the serial port, and then soldered on an RJ-11 phone jack. Hooked up a jack on the car side too, makes for a very low-bulk, low-buck, quick in & out deal.

Craig,
Thanks for the info. I have heard a lot of people are running SVO injectors, and I was thinking about that route myself.
Goor idea about the phone Jack, I think I will have to copy that if you dont mind, I like the idea of the positive cable retention.

Cheers

Richard
