Tunercat and Definition files
I just got all the stuff I need to burn proms and I'm waiting for the $32 definition file I need to use with my 86 camaro. I was planning on using most of the ARAP bin as a starting point as my car now as the ZZ-4 in it. I posted about this before so I know what I want to do for the most part but I now see that the ARAP bin needs to be read with the $6E definition file. Just to double check, this means I have to get that file also just so I can see what's in it, and then copy the parameters I want into my file?
I think that's it right? Just when I thought I had everything I needed too, go figure.

You might as well use the $6E code. I also have an 86 Iroc, and I use the $6E code. All you have to do mechanicaly is disconnect the 9th injector. Then program your PROM with the ARAP bin.

The $32 will let you read and edit the prom you have now, but you'll need the $6E as well to be able to read and edit the ARAP bin.

So is there any real differences between $6E and $32 other than the cold start injector. Does it cause any problems on the older tuned ports(87 in specific) if you get rid of the csi. Just trying to figure this all out so that I will know as much as possible when I get my engine built and start programming my own chips. Thanks for all of the help
