How to edit bin hex w/o editor...
I've got this small case of oscillating idle when in park or nuetral when I first start it.
I have info on setting the IAC reaction time, and I want to try delaying it. I tried to edit the chart in WinBin but I won't let me select any cell, and there isn't an option in the menu's
How do I change it then?

You can actually edit the "hex" data a variety of ways. There are free hex editors available on the internet (do a search at www.download.com) and with the Pocket Programmer there is an "edit" feature.
However, if you DO actually edit the hex code, you must then compute the change to the binary file and modify the checksum.

One reason it's revving up and down at idle could be the timing is not the same in that RPM range. Look in the timing table at the RPM and VE range this happens (using the RPM that you are requesting at those coolant temps), and the timing is probably higher than when the engine's idling at a lower speed when warmed up or when you're in Drive. I had that problem with my engine, also only in Park (I have a 150 rpm difference between Park and Drive). I set the timing in all of the affected RPM/LV8 cells to the same value and the problem pretty much went away. It still oscillates some, but within a reasonable 50-75 rpm range instead of 100-200+ rpm.
