Is it possible to use a larger prom than necessary

My application calls for a 2732a prom but i have piles of 27256 proms laying around, could i just write the first 4k and get it to work?
never mind..i just noticed the extra eproms i have have to many pins

What you can do is make a prom switcher.
Over at the DIY there is a diagram for one.
