How do I solder the zero insertion force socket into my med-cal

 

If you have to ask I'd have someone else do it.

 

If the wire length on the ZIF isn't long enough you'll have to make them longer with a header or anything else. As an example I use the excess of electrical gizmos like resistors and capacitors. The usual problem is that the ZIF physically hits the ESC filter so you have to overcome it by moving it higher than the base of the memcal.

 

Just get out the soldering iron, turn it to high, get the solder and flux and let it ROCK
