Craig moates software

Can anybody tell me from experience how they like craig moates software? (other than craig himself )

Does it provide enough to be used alone? Is it virtually a replacement for diacom? or no where near it?

I think it's at least equal to the other more costly alternatives. I prefer the older E6 version to the newer 845; but that's just me.

I use it as a stand-alone diagnostic scan tool. The fact it can also download/copy your BIN file to your HDD is an unexpected (but welcome!) bonus!

I plan on trying it for finding knock and other existing problems, but after that I want to use it for tuning proms, I assume its more than capable of those two things?

THANKS!

I'm also using the e6 version, with Andrews cable. I have never used the other programs out there. Craigs program does everything I would want. I use it in windows 98 on a Nec p90 notebook and don't have any problems.

I use the E6 and the 8.45 versions, depending how I feel and what I need to do.
I think it is excellent, kudos to Craig.
(He also offers excellent board support for questions )

Cheers

Richard

Not to be silly, but it's free! Build a cable ($10 at RS) and try it yourself! I can see asking this question if you were sinking a bunch of money into it but...it's free! And yes, it'll do all you need it to do, for free.
