noob questions...

i have a 84 z28 w/ 305 HO....does it even have a prom...what is a prom...i looked through the stickies but to no avail

If it is a US model then it should have an ECM. These ECMs run an old style one time burnable prom that is no longer available. The 2732 PROM can be used with some of the pins changed around.
