1227165 is the original Service Number. Not sure what is being used now. That can be found on the outside of the case. Can also check and post the BCC from the MEMCAL. That will tell which car the calibration is for.

You've got the correct 1227165 ECM (see pic lower right # 7-165) as RBob mentioned. You also have an aftermarket (ADS) chip, which could be the cause of some problems if it is not the correct application for your car. You should be able to find some type of serial number on the chip and then contact ADS or an ADS distributor to see if the application is correct.
actually i'm wanting to get rid of the chip altogether it was in there when i bought the car and i didn't know this till a week ago when i started playign with it all
i'm trying to put the stock chip back into teh camputer because the ADS chip has some fuel regulator in it that stops me at 120 mph. so a few days ago i put the origional chip back in it and the car wouldn't stay running. it would stay running with the gas that's primed into the motor but then it was like the fuel system didn't work at all ending in the car dying of course.... so yall know why i can't run the stock chip anymore?

the only thing is that whoever owned the car before me got rid of the smog pump and some emissions things that runs down to the smog pump... i think it's what comes from the cat's... so i think that's why they had the ADS chip in there because they were able to delete that part of the emissions on the computer. but i'm sure i had the chip in the computer right. i'll ask to use my friends computer from his camaro again and see if i can find what was wrong.... still if you have any input for this weird problem please help i'm willing to try just abotu anything.
ok so i got ahold of my friends chip and computer this time... so i just completely took my computer out of the problem. (my friend has the same year model and engine as me) so when i pluged his into my wiring harness the motor once again would only run on the primed gas from the ignition beign turned on then it would die. i know his computer works properly and its not holding any codes.... anyone got an idea? the car is a 1986 iroc z 305 TPI

Sounds to me like a fuel delivery issue, not a computer issue. Do you have a fuel pressure guage you can attach to the fuel rail? It sounds like the pump is priming as it should (and the fuel system is being pressurized), but is cutting out after a few seconds. A pressure guage would easily show a drop off, if that is occuring.
