EGR disable.
Hi,
I'm getting started with the tuning, and started easy.
It's a 7747 ecm.
First thing I did is disable EGR @0x0005 bit 7.
After a few rides I suddenly got a SES light, checked it and it was #32 (EGR).
Does this means that the EGR is still working ? (or trying to).
I am using the 7747-mine.XDF suplied by tunerpro,
there is also @0x0005 bit 3 : EGRDC (set original)
and bit 4 : EGRIN (not set original).
What are these ?
Thank's for the help.
Gr.

I did not disable that one.
But how can I be sure the EGR doesn't come on ?
And how can it set the error flag when it's disabled ?
Thank's

To disable the EGR system set the enable temperature to 151 C. This is located at BIN address $1B3. The temperature value is inverse so a 0 is the max temperature.

Could take some days, have a tight timing.
Thank's

Edit : I can go only between 0 and 91,80 .
I typed 151 but is goes back to 91,80.
Can this be solved ?

I use Tunerpro.
The XDF file I downloaded from tunerpro's website.
Alreaddy tried the 7747-mine XDF, from Moates.net, no result.
But I have another XDF file on my PC, don't know annymore where it comes from.
With this XDF I can get the value between 0 and 255.
Could it be that the other XDF files are bad ?
I'll see now where I got this other XDF from.
Thank's
Dieter

You need to get a chip burner or the Ostrich so that you can disable it. Its the only way.
