Re: PW and Injectors.

I dont think itll hurt anything, but your close to the static threshold. The worst that will happen will be that the injectors will be static, which will cause the motor to lean out under high loads, which should be avoided. Id plan on bigger ones, especially if you want to enrich the mixture further during WOT.

Re: PW and Injectors.

Adding fuel only eliminates Knock Retard if you are too lean. Reducing spark (or working the spark curve) is the only effective way to reduce KR, but it may reduce power.

Your DC is fine and your injectors are fine too. You may be able to get more fuel (if really needed) by adding fuel pressure. If you got money to burn and dying to get rid of it, you can buy new (and larger) injectors. Or, you could buy some other part instead that will make a performance difference.

Re: PW and Injectors.

For reference, you could probably get about 20-25% more flow before the pressure gets so high that you dead-head the pump or put a higher demand then the pump can meet at that pressure rating. If you still have the stock pump, it may or may not be able to meet the demand at higher pressures.

Re: PW and Injectors.

I've been talking with GTA for a bit.
He's only running about 25* at WOT on a aluminum headed car. (with PE adder, base set correctly and corresponding with the base timing in the chip)
Think it could be a lean issue and not a spark issue?
All cars I see running those heads run 32-38*.

Re: PW and Injectors.

FWIW:

On LS1 engines I have seen 107% Duty Cycle and the car was still not running lean. However, when we changed injectors the car made more peak HP and held the power after that point but up to peak they where lineball. IMHO: I would only change injectors if you are planning more mods and more rpm.

That does seem a bit low, unless it has a really high CR or something.

It could also be false knock as well.
