Wideband 02 Options

Has anyone replaced the narrowband 02 (heated or unheated) in their setup with a wideband that has a narrowband output option?

If you have:

- What model(s) did you purchase and did you run into any issues converting?
- Did you leave your sensor in the driver side collector, or did you locate it after the "y"?

Additional info: SBC 406, with HSR & 730 ecm

Thank you

Re: Wideband 02 Options

In the above recommended setup, were there any special wiring considerations for using the wideband output -> narrowband input?

Thanks again for the suggestion.

I have been considering the same thing. I thought moving to after the y would better monitor both banks? And since the new sensor is heated, being further downstream shouldn't matter? I know the innovate LC-1 has 2 configurable outputs plus the digital output. It should output narrow band fine as long as you remember to ground it the way described in the directions. The voltage reference to ground won't be right if the new wideband controller isn't grounded at the sensor ground at the ecu.
That is if you want it to be as accurate as possible. Which can only mean better
o2 response time, gas mileage, and more power! (When running the AFR's close to the ragged edge, or running alot of boost)
What do you guys think?

Re: Wideband 02 Options

I use Zeitronics Zt-2 for WBO. Unit is very fast for data logging and provides multiple analog inputs. In addition, it has NBO output which can be used with ECM. I have not integrated Zt-2 with ECM just yet, but probably soon.
