Idle Question

Had a starter chip burned for my combo by PC and it runs
pretty strong to get started.
Got the Moates APU1 kit to start to learn do it from there
but sent it back to be checked out, as won't connect to
three different computers, probably my screwup
Until I get it back and up and running have a question?

Wanted idle set at about 800 with my cam setup and
wondering if I can adjust in manually, TB set screw without
screwing up off idle responce. Idles at 650 now in closed
loop and wants to load up. Also a problem on braking below 3000 on stall because of the vacumm with low idle.

Realize will have to reajust TPS idle voltage back to specs
after TB set screw adjustment to bring it up to 800.

Any comments or problems as this is temporary until can
get going on chip changes.
Any One???

Thanks

Re: Idle Question

It is a semi-common practice to do so. Although most, including myself, don't set the commanded idle too far from the actual idle speed. I keep it within 25rpm.
