Wasting Time
I just spent over $400 on tuning equipment including a laptop for my 1228746 ecm. This summer ill be drawing in $400 a week and i plan on doing a motor swap or major internal work to my 305tbi. But learning from the pros, am i wasting my time with my current ecm if i do major changes? I've been reading constantly and i've ran into multiple people saying that my ecm is hard to tune at low rpms and often times you have to guess instead what to tune and whats wrong and what not. What im asking is if i should keep my ECM?
Btw i bought an Ostrich, laptop, Cabl1 ALDL Combo, and my ecm is currently at Moates getting a 24 pin socket installed for the Ostrich.

Re: Wasting Time
I'm no TBI expert, but is sure sounds like the "ONLY" way to go with a TBI is to use RBob's EBL conversion ECM. Lots more power, flexibility, tuneability, etc. If mine was a TBI, that's sure a H3LL what I'd be using. I've even bugged him a few times about doing the same thing for the 730 guys LOL
