Easy way to verify injector constant?
HI,
I have a 165 ECM with an aftermarket chip. Im running a 350 on 19lb injectors. Im wondering if the guy who made the chip might have set the constant to 22 instead of 19 due to a wandering idle and WOT pinging around 3000 RPM. I have a MAX232 Cable... DO i need to get a prom reader, or is there someway to read this value over the serial connection?
Thanks in advance!
KS

I'm not 100% sure about this but in ECM852 software from Moates I think there was an option that allowed you to download the bin through ALDL port. Then you could just open in in tunerpro and look.
otherwise you need a reader/burner.

Hi,
If you have an ALDL cable to connect to a laptop then you need to download TunerPro to see how much knock you have and other related items.
Moates software as mentioned is OK but some times you will need to have several trials to have a downloaded BIN.
The best is to start reading the sticky's there you will find lots of information in particular where to start.
