PROM BURNING HELP...WHERE TO START?
I just realized that I may have to learn how to burn my own prom to get my vehicle running right. I have a fresh 350/350HP Mini-Ram in my 87 GTA, but TPIS has not been able to get a well tuned prom to me. I think my motor is running lean, especially at idle. It wants to die and fall on its face when I accelerate. It also backfires once in a while. seems to run well at higher RPM.

What cam is in it? And its still MAF, I assume?
Sounds like it needs some timing and slight MAF curve adjustment at your area of complaint, at the very least. Usually a MAF car runs fine WOT and poor elsewhere. Welcome to the club. At the very least you need to datalog the car for anyone (including TPIS) to get anywhere with it.
