Got it started, any advice for a bin to start with?
I got the SS to fire lsat night. It was something simple and I am embarassed (bad solder job on a ignition power source caused voltage drop during cranking). Once I fixed that the car fired right up. I did have to feather the throttle but the TB is as it came out of the box. So I think I need to adjust the plates to be more opened at idle. I can't set minimum air yet. The idle is too low. Here's my setup:
400 .040, flat top pistons, 10.5:1 comp
AFR 195s
Voodoo 219/227 on 112 LSA
HSR w/non-adj. reg
1-5/8 headers thru dual exhaust
30 lb red tops, 255 lph pump,
emission delete
What I have in the Bin right now is using Super AUJP V2 with the inj. constant and cylinder volume changed. I set my base timing as 8* and that is where I lined up the dist (haven't been able to check with a light yet). From what I remember last night the SS was idling rich. So before I start any modifications I wanted to check what is the best bin for me to start with? A stock AUJP? Super AUJP V2 or V3? I have been using TC for editing the bin but after reading about Super $8D maybe I'll look into that and using TP. There is just so much info I have been reading I guess it can be over whelming. But from some general observations I should probably have to pull some fuel from the lower VE tables (below 1600 rpm). Also might need more initial timing at the dist. and/or the spark tables for the HSR. Also when I get there the Super AUJP V3 has a fix for larger motors that helps with fueling. Maybe someone has a similiar combination they can share there experience on starting with a stock bin or with a Super AUJP variation.

good to hear you got it up & running
i think S-AUJP V3 would be the best to start with.
one thing, turn highway mode off in it before you run it.
this is how i like to set the timing on a cammed motor,

i think it was on the TunerPro site that i read TunerPro should work with windows 95, its worth a try anyway.

i didn't notice it before, but if you go with V3 & have iron heads, copy the stock AUJP spark tables over into V3

Re: Got it started, any advice for a bin to start with?
I have AFR195s. I did a little tuning on the idle. But I think my throttle plates are open a bit too much. My IAC count was 1 in closed loop. I only had time to adjust some idle areas to reduce fuel and my BLM went from 80 to about 115 (from 800-1500 rpm). The spark advance in Super AUJP V3 seems aggressive. My idle isn't quite where I want it yet. It is somewhat shaky. I don't think the engine likes the timing setup in the idle area on V3. I plan to make some more adjustments on fuel but I don't know what to do for timing yet.

the timing is very aggressive in V3.
i haven't looked, but i think the spark tables are from a vette bin.
the vettes had aluminum heads & used more timing.
