EEPROM or memcal adapter

I plug in my ECM with a burned chip on a memcal adapter and my car won't start. SE light won't even flash the 12 when jumpered. Verified the memcal is good, but I don't know how to verify whether the chip or the adapter is bad. I'm using a pocket programmer with cats tuner software, AT29C256 chip.

I don't know if I correctly stacked my bin. Original EPROM is 27C128. After modifing original bin, I programmed it using pp2 with device start at 00000, then at device start at 04000. Device end was set at 03FFF both times.

Referring me to the proper thread or offering a few words of wisdom will be appreciated, thanks.

To ensure that your bin is properly stacked, go to Moates.net technical page and you'll find the specs there.

Take Care,
