proportional counts on 7427 ecm

i cant get rid of this surging at low map cruise/decel. afr swinging on wideband from 12.0-17.0. have reduced prop gains vs. rpm vs. map table by almost 4x stock. but what is the function of prop counts vs. o2 error? do i need to reduce these numbers to reduce the surge? i guess i dont understand what that table does.

thanks.

Re: proportional counts on 7427 ecm

Proportional gains force the AFR to oscillate. This is for the cat-con to function properly. Make sure that the INT is holding steady. If not then the prop gains, duration, INT delays, and O2 error values need to be worked on.

RBob.

can you explain what the prop counts vs o2 error table does? what happens if i put smaller numbers in this table? and what does 6375 msec in the prop duration tables mean? thanks
