need help new to prom burning

need help new to prom burning

ok guys i need your help i going to do my own chip 91 camaro 350 ecm 730
IF I WANT TO TUNE ON THE RUN WILL THE MOATES 325 KIT DO THAT
it comes with autoprom emulator, tunercat RT software,defintion file $8d,2 eeproms
or do i get the progammer from moates buy tunerpro rt and defintion file just need some help please

with the AutoProm & TunerPro(what the AutoProm comes with) you can tune on the fly, thats the real-time emulation part of it.
you do need a laptop hooked up to it for real-time emulation, the motor will run in limp home mode if the laptop goes into screen saver or power saver mode, or turns off.

you'll also need a Memory Adapter with a ZIF to plug the stock MEMCAL into.

so how does that work on the fly how is the new bin saved or do u go for ride then record data then make changes to bin still in the dark about that thanks

I use the Moates Ostrich, and its a replacement for the blue PROM memcal chip. The program gets loaded into the Ostrich, and that runs the car's computer. You hook up your laptop to it, and a scantool to the ALDL port (either a separate handheld one, or one on the laptop) and you can make changes to the car's program while you are driving. Or, I should say, you make changes as the passenger, while someone else is driving. Its too dangerous to try to drive and tune at the same time.
