disconnecting IAC

disconnecting IAC
WIll disconnecting the iac make my idle high. i still have a high idle even after replacing my iac. trying to figure if its vac leak or what.

Re: disconnecting IAC
Depends upon where the IAC is when disconnected. Can close it first then disconnect it. To close, short A & B on the ALDL connector, then key-on, engine-off. Wait about 15 seconds then disconnect the IAC. Key-off, remove jumper.
