nuetral saftey switch question on mega shifter

hello i put mega shifter in a while back and it called for switch from radio shack and i hooked every thing up right and every 50 starts or so i fry the switch and the car wont start then i hard wire it to start and then the car will sometimes die when i put it in gear untill i replace the switch is there a way to get rid of this when im burning my chip thanks

No, no way to bypass the neutral safety switch in the PROM. That switch also carries quite a bit of current. It is the ignition switch crank feed to the starter solenoid. Best bet is to get the proper switch or a larger one from RS.

Wire in a relay if its too much current for that switch.
