v6 upgrade ECM tuning '165
first off, ill say, im new to this, but ive searched my a$$ off. im running a stock '88 2.8L ECM but i now have a 3.4L w/ many upgrades. what do i need to change? i have the bin and definition files, but i cant seem to find any info on the v6 to know what i need to know what to change. even if i can find out what formulas i need to change, im pretty good w/ math, i just dont know what i need to re-calculate. ive been looking thru my program on tuner-pro. im guessing the MAF and air intake doesnt need to change much if at all, since its before all the modifications. can anyone give me more infor on this, or give me a link to some info

Your subject line and your text don't match. The stock ECM for the 2.8l isn't the '165, it is the '7302.
As for what to change, it is no different for a V6 then a V8. If you increased the injector flow then change the injector constant. If you have changed heads, cam, exhaust, then need to look at the MAF tables to see if they are still OK. With a cam/heads change the SA needs looking in to.

Re: v6 upgrade ECM tuning '165
sorry i meant to say that i am going to be upgrading to a '165 ecm when i do all of that stuff. I have a different cam and minor head/intake manifold work, headers/catback, lower temp t-stat, etc etc. so if i search thru the v8 stuff, it will relate to the v6 just the same?
what is SA?

SA = spark advance
Head up to the stickys on this board of TGO. There is a Tuning Guide Book page with links to all kinds of good threads.
There is a Acronyms link that is helpful along with some beginning guides for data logging and such.
Then in one of the chapters is ECM specific threads. Head there for the '165 information.

So you know, I've noticed a cold-start stalling problem with the latest bin I've released. New one on the way.

Cold start- as in first start after sitting for a while. I've noticed some stalling and occasional dying at the first startup of the day. Usually only when it's below 50*, but enough to be a problem. Another one of the areas I didn't have access to on the '302 bin.
