ECM UPGRADE

Guys I am now running OD code 1994 ECM to run my TBI system..

I have the system to run but running into to

code 23 is MAT sensor NOT using this

code 37 is BRAKE on indication for ABS module...

I am tuning with CATS E6 code (1993 only no NO sensor) and and dont have the OD code but after reading the CATS file definition it does not show flags in for either one of these codes>>>
HELP ? thank you

I wonder if there is a way to edit the HEX thru Tuner PRO ... then save the file and tune using CATS

Re: ECM UPGRADE

I don't know about how to disable the brake error, but I can help with the MAT. In tunerpro right click in the list area to the left of the screen. Select add new XDF item. Click flag. Enter in the hex address as 400B Bit 6. Call it whatever you want, then save it. Then you can disable it form the main screen. That will disable the whole code for the MAT sensor so it won't cause any more problems.

Oh and you can edit HEX in tunerpro its in the tools menu under advanced, but be very careful as you cannot see what your editing and can really mess stuff up. You really need a hack if your going to edit in hex.

Thank YOU
looks like i might be 1 step closer...

The brake code 37 has me wondering it seems to wire to the ABS brake pump

Curious how were you able to determine THAT location "address"

Re: ECM UPGRADE

I was just looking thru my hack and error 37 is TCC/ABS brake switch stuck open. Now on my truck there are two brake switches one for the brake lights and one for the tcc/abs. One of them does cruise control too, but I don't know which one. Anyway check to make sure that one of the switches is not open. One should be closed (or in other words shorted) and the other open when the brake is not pressed and when it is pressed it should be the opposite.

I'm not saying its not the abs module that could cause the code, but check the switch first. K
