Small cam

Hey i have a stock 350 with a 90-92 camaro map using SAUJPV4. If I put in the cam from summit part # sum-1104 duration 282/282, lift .465/.465. I was wondering if i should adjust anything in the bin for this new cam or leave things as they are? I dont have many chips to spare thats why i am asking prior to tinkering. Any advice would help! I am new to programming/tpi.

Clean looking TPI.

That cam is all wrong for a TPI engine. Look for a cam that makes power in the idle-5,000 rpm range, has a 112* LSA, and has decent lift. No sense in adding a cam that is just starting to come on hard as the TPI falls off a cliff.

Re: Small cam

Try it but if the tuning gets too hard then maybe a change will help. Consider changing intake to mini ram or something that runs in the higher rpm range. Hope you have 4:11 gears in that beast. Watch your vacuum for the brakes. That cam is around a 2200-5200 rpm cam with a narrow, high peak, torque and HP. It would make a good six speed cam. Call comp cams and just see what they recommend for your setup.

Re: Small cam

Ok so this is the plan. I have a 1227730 ECM and I plan on getting a ERPOM from a fbody 350 90-92. I am thinking of getting a autoprom and 2-3 chips. Any downfalls or am i missing anything?
