I don't understand why we can't use a 3 bar MAP to tune for boost with a 7730 ECM. You can add columns to the tables using the XDF editor feature of Tuner Pro, so you should be able to add KPA all the way out to 300 and then use a 3 bar MAP sensor. You'd have to dink with it some to see what voltage corresponded to 1 atmosphere, then set the table up accordingly, but I would think it would be pretty easy to extrapolate the values.

Why won't that work? What gives?

you can use a 3 bar on a 7730 ECM, you just need to repin it & change the code.

I think there are alot of tables and things that you dont find in the xdf file that needs to be changed. If it was easy I'm sure it would have been done already, The 8D boost issue has a long history here on thirdgen, and from what I know there is only one guy who runs a 8D. code made for boost, its not public yet and he did all the programming by himself.

Adding columns in tunerpro won't do anything for the real code behind it. Isn't that easy.

Think of tunerpro as a road map. You can draw new lines of roads you want, but I doubt they will form because of those lines you just drew.

He needs to stick with the '727 or half of his dash won't work. His vette has a CCM which talks to the ECM (and masters on the ALDL comm), not to mention his DIC won't work anymore. His "sys" light will flash forever driving him nuts.
