New guy, go easy...

So I finally took the step to learn how to datalog. I bought the cable from Moates and got the cd with tuner pro on it and even made my first trip. What I ended up with was a bunch of info I have no idea what to do with next. How do I decipher this info now? What is it telling me. I know these are real basic questions but I am really lost. I have been reading the stickys but there is so much info in there my ears are starting to bleed.
Anyway it's just fun to be able to do this and learn more so any info provided will be a HUGE help. Thanks guys.

You question(s) are way too broad to answer with any specific detail.

You're on the right track, read teh stickies and re-read them, and once you think you've got it, read them 3 more times.

If you have specific questions, perform a search with your query and if you still can't find the answer ask away.

I think the stickies are great for someone that understands what a car needs to run. say someone that's tuned carbed cars forever and understands what timing to look for, what air/fuel you want to run, when. but for someone that's really really new to all of this and doesn't have the back ground needed. its all kinda mind numbing. all the info is here somewhere, but it isn't in any real order anywhere that I've found. if you don't understand how timing and a/f works then I'd say do some searches for things like that first. things like idle a/f, wot a/f and cruise a/f will be targed to different things and it helps to know the ideas behind why. then throw timing into the mix. then you can go data log your car and see if those things are right or wrong. the stickies will help you learn what programs and hardware to use to change the .bin file in your ecm to get the above things where you want them for your setup. but you gotta know and understand why these are the targets in the first place.

I agree with your point. That is the problem I'm having. I have the info from the car now I need to learn how to read it. I'll try some of the search tips you offered and hopefully dig up some of the info I am looking for. Thanks for the tips.
