What Prom Changes are needed???
What Prom Changes are needed???
Hi,
Here is what I'm Working with;
A Rebuilt 93' 5.7L TBI, its stock except vortec heads, RV cam (Edelbrock Performer), Edelbrock EPS intake, Holley OEM style bolt-on TBI, MSD Pro Billet OEM Drop-in, Flowmaster shorty headers, and flowmaster exhaust sys.
Never had A.I.R.
EGR Before and non-exsistant now.
NO CAT before or after
Has Charcoal canister purge
All senors new and in original places, no new wiring
- QUESTION
What changes to the Prom will I need to do to DELETE EGR and to account for the other mods, more so the cam?
( I have a Ostrich 2.0 and Tuner Pro RT software, which I'm both new to using)
Thank you very much!
David

Re: What Prom Changes are needed???
You will need to turn of the egr flags and settings/You will also need to adjust the Ve setting to adjust for the new cam and intake for best HP. Maybe play with some timing and possibly change the injector constants.

There's a little more to disable egr than just turn off error code.
You might want to read above.
I understand the principal is pretty much same. I'm using TPI stuff.
