What RPM limit on my 383 build...
I'm wondering what would be a good compromise on RPM limit of my new build... I'm using an auto and going to keep that at stock shifting points for now ~ 4,700rpm but I want to know what I can hold it too.
Scat 9000 Cast Crank
Scat I Forged I Beam Rods
Claimer Hyper Pistons
Clevite Bearings throughout
The car starts really pulling around 3,000rpm.... I beleive it would make power up to around 6,800rpm but I think that pushing things a little
LT1 Intake, AFR195 Heads, Rollertip Rockers, CC306 - 230/244 .544/.576
Thanks in advance

Keep it a hundred or two under what your valve springs can handle. I believe your stock AFR springs are good for 6K.
I have the AFR Eliminators and have my max rpm point set to 5900.
Typically I let the car shift itself but it's nice to know that I have more power available to me if I need it.

depends, if you have the 8017 springs i think they are more than enough spring for the cc306. that cam should peak by 6000-6200 and be good to 6500rpm. Its not much different from my custom grind to be honest. I'd probly shift by 6400 with that combo. I take mine to 6500 but i'm not sure where the power stops
