Hypertech memcal for SD swap
Since speed density memcal's are expensive and harder to find now, Couldn't I just buy a Hypertech Memcal for $150 and use that instead of buying a used AUJP memcal?
Thanks
Thanks

Be sure to double check that you are getting a MEMCAL. As they also provide a PROM and an adaptor board. Which means that you still need to use your origonal MEMCAL.

EXACTLY what Bob said. MOST of the aftermarket "chips" for SD cars are "piggy-backs" and require you to plug your stock memcal into it for the Netres circuitry (for your limp mode) to work. So make sure that they are giving you an actual memcal and NOT just a "piggy-back".
