lean in closed loop

My car just started acting up. When in open loop the integrater and the blm are both at 128 and the car runs great. When the car goes into closed loop the integrater jumps up to 180 and the blm goes to max i believe 160. This is puzzling because the car smells very rich when this happens???? also the car started to surge at stop lights now when this problem happened. any ideas by anyone???? There are no codes on my snap on scanner???

Re: lean in closed loop

so it's actually very rich, but the ECM is seeing it as running lean. This seems to be very common on the corvette forum when people switch to new injectors. It's as if the O2 sensor is not reading correctly.

my car does it at idle, but not as bad as yours. mine goes to 159 BLM's. but the intergator stays reasonable.

I havn't played with it much recently.
