due to the fact that the 350 in the car is shot im putting 305 back in. problem is the ecm has a hypertech chip for 350. i really dont think this will work with the 305. if anyone can help me out i would love it. i bought the car with the 350 already in it. i do not have the original chip that came with the car. thanks for any help

 

What are the specs of the 305?

 

I have friend that had a TBI in a hot rod. When I first met him he had a hand ful of chips from the salvage yard that he would change all of the time. The funny thing is that he had no idea what vehicle they came out of. I do not recomend that. Anyway he found one that realy made his hot rod haul but. It turns out that when we looked up the cal it was out of an astro van with a v-6 and his ride was a v-8. My point is that maybe not ideal it will probably run ok you just have to keep an eye on the spark plug color. I will also point out that the best way to go is with the cal for the engine you are running or a custom cal tunned for your engine.
