Total timing question...someone help.

Can someone with a stock or ability easy to go to stock computer timing check their total timing at 3000rpm and at 4000rpm with no load WITH the timing connector still pluged in. I got 40 deg at 3k and 46 deg at 4k, the car feels faster, but wanted to check against stock numbers (since I forgot to check before chip mod) or know where I can get the info at. I can find the info with the connector unplugged but not plugged in.

someone please just go out to their car with an adjustable timing light, leave the timing connector pluged in, start car and run it up to 3000rpm and tell me what degree of timing you have.....I need a baseline please.

Re: Total timing question...someone help.

You realize that the results of this test will vary considerably.

Here are some timings from the SA table, no need to light the crank:

3000 RPM, 30 KPa: 33*
4000 RPM, 30 KPa: 36*

Another tune:

3000 RPM, 30 KPa: 42*
4000 RPM, 30 KPa: 42*

Another tune:

3000 RPM, 30 KPa: 28*
4000 RPM, 30 KPa: 31*

Another tune:

3000 RPM, 30 KPa: 46*
4000 RPM, 30 KPa: 46*

It all depends upon what the engine combination is.

RBob.
